When you hear the terms DVD duplication and DVD replication, you might think that these two terms are the same thing. However, there is lots of difference between these two terms.Which duplication method• If you only need a few copies of a DVD then the DVD duplication process is the most ideal option. DVD duplication is apt for any number of copies less than 1000.• When a large number of copies have to be made of a particular DVD, then DVD replication could be more appropriate. When more than 1000 copies need to be made, DVD replication could prove to be helpful.DVD duplication makes use of DVD recorders to burn the data. DVD replication does not burn the data but instead uses the process of stamping.Since DVD duplicators use the burning process, the cost of the setup is less in comparison to replication. It is much more cost effective and it is less expensive for a small number of copies.Since DVD replication uses the process of stamping. The data is first stamped on a DVD. The data has to be burned into a template first. This is known as the glass master. The DVD replication process is similar to the process of how LPs were pressed in the past.So the next time you need DVD copies choose replication of duplication.
