    CD duplication and DVD duplication involves making many copies of a single CD or DVD. This method of copying CDs and DVDs has become very popular over the years. Many companies such as record labels, film production studios, software companies and gaming companies use duplication and replication to produce multiple copies of that particular CD or DVD.The different terms used for DVD formatsThere are many terms used to denote different types of CD and DVD copying formats. There are many among you who may not know what they mean or what they stand for. These formats can be confusing to person who does not have a clue about duplication and replication. A few common formats DVDs come in are DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RW. These are the different terms used to denote the different coping formats in DVDs. The DVD-ROM format is a read only format and you cannot copy any other information onto it. The ROM stand for Read Only Memory. The next format is the DVD-R and the DVD-RW. The DVD-R format means that the DVD can only be used once to copy, after which no other information can be copied onto it.The meaning of the terms used for DVD formatsThe DVD-RW format means that it is a rewritable DVD. It can be used for multiple copying sessions. The information copied onto it can be erased and new information can be copied back on it.
