The first thing that comes to your mind when you want to record a song is a recording studio. However, the fact is that the result may not be as good as you expect. This is because a set of songs in a CD has different EQs. Due to this reason the songs play at a different level to that intended.A CD mastering engineer can help to solve this problem. He can fuse the CD and create consistent sound tracks. CD mastering helps increase the quality of songs by filtering background disturbances.CD mastering is a more difficult technical process as compared to simple CD recording. CD recording can be carried out by any person who has little understanding of how it works. However, CD mastering is a crucial process which edits and polishes audio tracks. Hence, only a professional can perform this task.CD mastering requires the use of various techniques. Perfect mastering can make a mediocre CD into a marvel. A CD has to go through three different steps before being replicated. The three steps are editing, sweetening and quality checking. While undergoing editing, the tunes are arranged in order with appropriate gaps between each song. Unexpected noises and disturbances are removed at this stage.During the sweetening stage, the smoothness and clarity of the songs are made better. After this, the quality of the CD is checked. It can then be replicated if it is satisfactory.
